Advertising in the South West
Spring is a wonderful time to be out and about with friends and family, and the Bloomberg Connects app is MEERKAT ‘s go-to for inspiration when looking for cultural activities and places to visit. MEERKATworks have thoroughly enjoyed planning and buying the latest southwest advertising campaign for Bloomberg Connects across two vibrant cities along the River Avon – Bath & Bristol.
Bath is world famous for its ancient hot springs and healing waters but is also a city with an impressive collection of galleries and museums. Less than 15 minutes away by train is the maritime city of Bristol, which is likewise considered an important ‘artistic hub’ with its cultural institutions and a contemporary art gallery situated in the old harbour warehouses.
The geo targeted campaign was planned by the MEERKATs to reach both locals and visitors to the two cities. The locally focused luxury magazines, ‘Bath Life’ and ‘Bristol Life’, provided a perfect fit for the press campaign. The advertising campaign in Bristol could also be seen in the South West’s biggest independent magazine, Bristol 24/7.
Bus supersides – with their stand-out creative – ensured that the OOH campaign was highly visible and on the move throughout both cities during this key time. The supersides ran alongside bus stop 6 sheets which were carefully selected at key transport points and near the main cultural institutions and galleries. In Bristol there were also geo targeted street posters in social and diverse urban spaces.
