ITV advertising campaign for National Disability & Carers Card Scheme

Disability isn’t always visible and for people with non-visible disabilities, explaining that they may need additional assistance, access or understanding can sometimes be difficult.

MEERKATworks planned and bought a TV advertising campaign for the National Disability & Carers Card Scheme, helping to raise awareness of a simple way for individuals to demonstrate their disability status when needed.

Raising awareness through ITV advertising

The National Disability & Carers Card is a secure photo ID card designed to provide recognised proof of disability. It can help cardholders communicate that they may require assistance, special access or simply a little extra patience, without having to repeatedly explain their circumstances.

To increase awareness of the scheme, MEERKATworks planned and bought a targeted ITV advertising campaign running across the South East of England throughout August and September.

The TV advert, created by Gusto, introduces the card and the role it can play in making everyday situations easier for people whose disabilities may not be immediately apparent.

For the National Disability & Carers Card Scheme, live ITV provides an opportunity to take its message directly into homes across the target region, using the reach and impact of television to build wider awareness over the course of the campaign.

From national TV campaigns to targeted regional activity, MEERKATworks plans and buys television advertising around each client’s individual objectives, audience and budget.
